Doug Perron and I have worked together since 2004
when we first did a physical evaluation and then he put together an
overall work out program based on my assessment. He provided me with
a plan that focused on core stability and rotational strength and
speed. We worked hard together to make many of the exercises
golf specific and specific to my swing. Doug has been very diligent
and stays up to speed on all the latest training techniques. He is
very meticulous and careful so that while we are increasing strength
we are reducing chance of injury. There are very few Personal Trainers
I’ve met that have Doug’s qualities as a person and have
his qualifications as a trainer.

For the last two + years I have been working with
Doug Perron at the Barrington Fitness Studio. During this time I have
achieved several goals through programs that Doug has designed for
me.
My posture has become much improved through exercises geared to my
shoulders and upper back.
My core strength and balance have improved, and as I age, this is
very important.
Last year my golf index dropped 6 strokes. This was accomplished mostly
through the Titleist Performance Institute Program in which Doug is
a certified instructor. My range of motion and upper body turning
ability were greatly improved. Core strength, I learned, is also important
when playing golf.
I now work with Doug three times a week. He is very knowledgeable
and always interested in creating a session that is geared to how
I am feeling that particular day. Some days are easier than others,
but I enjoy each session and I truly enjoy working with Doug. He is
very supportive in helping me reach my goals.
